Sunday night I realized that I hadn't bought my weekly allotment of Weekend Papers so mom and I headed out to Rite-Aid and picked up 3. We headed straight inside to grab my first "free" items of the week. Rite-Aid is having a Wellness deal on Colgate Toothpaste. $1.99 with an $1up rewards. That means that I spend $1.99 and I will receive a $1.00 to use on a later purchase. In last Sunday's paper (1/30) there was a $1.00 off coupon. So I made a penny. :-) I spent quite a bit of money on Sunday but I also received quite a few up rewards too. Many of the products I bought also worked towards the $20 up rewards after spending $100.00.
Things I am learning:
*ORGANIZE!!!!! I am trying different ways to organize my coupons. I am finding the best way to do it is with a binder and stapling like pages together. I think I will try placing them in page protectors too. It can get messy quickly when I riffle through so many pages.
*Bring something to write with and on and a calculator. I really need to price shop around town to find the best deals. Bounty is cheaper at Rite-Aid this week but Charmin is still cheaper at Walmart with the coupon.
*Be patient. It seems like many times I see a deal at Rite-Aid and then the next week it is better. If the deal isn't dirt cheap it just might get better. Otherwise I will at least know for next time how cheap is cheap.
*Pay attention to the products. I received a $10.00 up rewards for buying heart healthy products. Who would have thought KY jelly is heart healthy?!?!?
